Taylor Swift wax figure from Madame Tussauds brings smiles to Children’s Hospital

Taylor Swift was on hand to help open Seacrest Studios, the multimedia broadcast studio within Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt in 2016, and on that day she was one of the first to broadcast to the hospital using Seacrest Studios.
A few days ago “Taylor Swift” returned to Children’s Hospital in a wax image from Madame Tussauds Nashville, and spent some time posing and bringing smiles — some shy and some broad — to patients.
“We had a Taylor Swift party,” said Seacrest Studio manager Mamie Shepherd.
During the hourlong party, patients, families and even some star-struck employees angled to get a picture made with the lifelike pop star simulacrum.
The Nashville branch of Madame Tussauds is one of seven locations of the popular wax museums in North America. The original Madame Tussauds opened in London in 1835, and remains one of that city’s prime tourist attractions.
The Taylor Swift wax figure was the first from the museum to visit Children’s Hospital.
