Sousan, Sohayla and Setareh Yazdani are 22-year-old triplets who all work as nurses at VUMC. They agree that they always wanted to pursue their careers at Vanderbilt.
She has worked with children varying in age from under 2 years old to teenagers as old as 18.
The accomplishment earned the group the Elevate Team Award.

"The last year has been so traumatizing and hard, but to use the skills and knowledge that we have been developing to good effect in the service of others during this difficult season has been meaningful.”
She sees patients who are struggling after a COVID infection. "It doesn't have to be this way," she said.
“Someone had to go clean those rooms up, and I’m happy to do whatever I’m asked to do. It comes with the job. I just wanted to help out and be a team player.”
Sue Perron, a Vanderbilt intensive care nurse, told the story of the patient with COVID she called the Butterfly Man
“Whatever it is, we roll up our sleeves and do what’s best for our patients.”
