Last year, an honor walk for paramedic Kyle Fisher went viral. Now, his mother, a nurse at Vanderbilt Wilson County Hospital, is promoting organ donation in his memory.
“I think she understands that things have been taken away from those who are in the hospital just as she has had things taken away from her.”
“It has made me ecstatically happy to watch him get better,” his mom said.
Now, 25 years after his announcement, Scott’s mission remains the same: to educate others on the history of HIV, dispel myths and break down stigma.
