VUMC Pets of the Day: Bear and Loki

by February 27, 2024

Today’s Dog of the Day is Bear, submitted by Clysta Laster of Vanderbilt Home Care Services. “This is Bear, our 9-year-old teacup Pomeranian. He loves going for a ride in the car to anywhere, but his hands down favorite is Starbucks for a pup cup. Just the mention of pup cup makes him run in circles.”

Today’s Cat of the Day is Loki, submitted by Cherise Look Hong of  the Office of Health Sciences Education. “Loki definitely lives up to his naughty namesake but can also be super sweet.”

Pets of the Day — what you need to know

The Vanderbilt University Medical Center Pets of the Day are included in regular editions of the MyVUMC newsletter, which is posted twice a week by VUMC News and Communications.

The pets are selected from the hundreds of entries sent earlier this year to the VUMC Voice Pet Photo Contest.

For those who submitted a photo to that contest, watch MyVUMC for Pets of the Day, and in addition, regular collections of pet photos are posted to the VUMC Voice site. You can see them all here: https://voice.vumc.org/tag/pets/.

If you have a pet you would like to nominate for Pet of the Day, the next Pet Photo Contest submission period is coming up later this year, and will be announced in MyVUMC.

Bear and Loki were featured in the Feb. 29, 2024, edition of MyVUMC.
