VUMC Voice 8-to-12-year-olds’ Halloween art contest winners announced

Zombies! The Grim Reaper! Ghosts! A pineapple jack-o-lantern!

by October 24, 2018

First place: Artist Abigail Hynd, 9, daughter of Lesley Worsley-Hynd, of Children’s Nursing Education and Professional Development.

The VUMC Voice’s Halloween children’s art contest again drew an impressive array of terrifying seasonal images. The contest was divided by the age of the artist, with 4-7 year-olds in their own category, and 8-12 year-olds in the older category. (Seven-year-olds were moved from the older to the younger group to help even out the number in each category).

Abigail Hynd, 9, the daughter of Lesley Worsley-Hynd, of Children’s Nursing Education and Professional Development, is the winner of the 8-12 age group. First runner-up was Nicholas Bradford, 10, grandson of Amy Nunnally of Ophthalmology, for his zombie on the prowl, and second runner-up was Lily Green, 9, daughter of Heather Green of Diagnostic Laboratory Administration, for her colorful collection of Halloween images.

The winners of the 2018 4-to-7-year-olds’ Halloween contest are here.
