Pets of VUMC: A look back at the best of 2018

A handy, one-stop collection of the winners of the "VUMC Voice" 2018 Pets of VUMC contest.

by December 26, 2018

Epidemiology employee Caree McAfee’s dog Link was one of the VUMC Voice‘s featured pets in 2018.

Almost 600 (!) photographs were submitted for the VUMC Voice Pets of VUMC contest in 2018, and over the course of the year 10 collections of some of the best entries were posted. (Remember — the top prize we offer in the contest is a photo of your pet shared in VUMC Voice.) And while we weren’t able to use all, or even most, of the pictures we received, we were able to showcase a good sample of the best of the beasts.

For people who missed some of the 2018 collections of pet photos, here is a handy one-stop roundup:

The first collection, called “Duos,” was published  in April.

The second collection, called “Dogs and their people,” was published in May.

The third collection, vol. 1 of “Dogs! Cats! Beds! Sofas!” was published in  June.

The fourth collection, vol. 2 of “Dogs! Cats! Beds! Sofas!” was published in July

The fifth collection, called “What could go wrong?” was published in August.

The sixth collection, called “Pets on the move” was published in September.

The seventh collection, called “Field and stream. Also yard and tub” was published in October.

The eighth collection, called “Here’s looking at you,” was published in November.

The ninth collection, vol. 2 of “Here’s looking at you” was published in December.

The tenth collection, a special compilation of holiday-themed pet photos, was also published in December.

A new 2019 pet photo contest will be announced in an upcoming post in VUMC Voice.
